2020 MELBOURNE ELECTRIC VEHICLE EXPO

Melbourne will host Australia’s largest ever collection of electric vehicles at the annual Electric Vehicle Expo. Hosted by the Australian Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA) over 100 EVs, from high-end Teslas through to electric bikes and scooters, will be on display at Flemington Showgrounds on the 9th of October. The Expo expects to attract over 10,000 visitors, with hundreds of opportunities for visitors to test drive electric cars, bikes or scooters. People driving along scenic routes can now make money from doing what they probably would anyway – taking photos on their mobile phones. An Australian designed and developed photography app, PicTrax, has been engineered to create an Australia-wide catalogue of mobile phone shots. AUSTRALIAN NEW VEHICLE SALES: FEBRUARY 2020

New vehicle sales figures for February 2020 have been released by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI). According to the FCAI, a total of 79,940 new vehicles were sold during February. Of the recorded sales, 39,304 were Sports Utility Vehicles which accounted for 49.2 per cent of the market, 15,523 were Light Commercial Vehicles (19.4 per cent of the market) and 22,648 were Passenger Vehicles (28.3 per cent of the market).
