SUBARU FORESTER: CHANGES FOR 2022

Subaru Forester is getting a mid-life makeover for 2022. It has a revised headlight, foglight, front bumper and grille treatment as well as numerous technology and suspension upgrades.

Retuned front suspension coil springs and dampers improve ride comfort, steering responsiveness and handling. New aluminium engine mount bracket reduces vibrations and noise.

Foresters with the Driver Monitoring System gain gesture-controlled temperature adjustment for the air-conditioning, a new feature for Subaru that enables drivers to adjust the temperature via a simple hand gesture.

In all models other than the Forester 2.5i, Adaptive Driving Beam is updated to an array headlight system.

An eight-inch touchscreen is now standard across the range, previously the Forester 2.5i, 2.5i-L and Hybrid L had 6.5-inch screens.

An updated instrument panel design is introduced in Forester 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Sport and 2.5i-S.

Forester 2.5i Sport has a circular foglight design with six LED lights and geometric black door mirrors Inside, there are gunmetal and orange interior highlights throughout the cabin

Forester 2.5i-S and Hybrid S have new alloy wheel designs. The Forester 2.5i-S gets platinum coloured armrest inserts.

Forester 2.5i Sport, 2.5i-S, Hybrid L and Hybrid S have a revised rear bumper lower cladding while the S and the two Hybrid variants also have revised silver roof rail finish.

New body colours are Autumn Green, Brilliant Bronze and Cascade Green which are available on all variants other than the Forester 2.5i Sport.

Subaru Australia General Manager, Blair Read, said: “We’ve never had greater demand for Subaru SUVs and current generation Forester is leading the charge.

“These latest subtle changes to the Forester range will add to its appeal, which has already attracted new audiences with the introduction of hybrid variants and the Sport over the last 18-months.
