NEW NAME, NEW LOOK FOR SUBARU’S COMPACT SUV

Subaru Australia has announced details of the latest version of its XV compact SUV with
new styling, extra equipment and, most of all, a new name.

The all-new Subaru Crosstrek is available now for pre-order via Subaru.com.au or through
your local Subaru Retailer. Australian pricing and specifications have been confirmed prior
to the anticipated launch in April.

The Subaru XV has been around since 2012 under that name both in Australia and
overseas markets apart from North America where it was sold as the Crosstrek.

With the release of the current (third) generation model in 2023 all markets will now use
the Crosstrek.

All Crosstrek variants come with smart key and push-start ignition, LED headlights (dusk-
sensing), roof rails, power-folding door mirrors. Crosstrek 2.0R, 2.0S and Hybrid S also get
LED Daytime Running Lights with the top-spec 2.0L and Hybrid L featuring a bulb type
DRLs.

As with the outgoing XV, new Crosstrek will come with a choice of five variants, three
petrol (2.0L, 2.0R and 2.0S) and two hybrid (Hybrid L and Hybrid S). All in Subaru’s long-
established ‘Boxer’ configuration.

As with all Australian Subaru models, except for the BRZ coupe, Crosstrek will come with
all-wheel drive.

Safety has been upgraded with the latest generation EyeSight Driver Assist system with
an improved stereo camera, a new Wide-Angle Monocular Camera, speed sign
recognition and a Lane Centring function.

Also, standard is Subaru’s Driver Monitoring System – Driver Focus which uses infrared
LED and a camera to monitor the driver for signs of inattention or sleepiness and if
detected, warns them to refocus their attention.

All models now get a new 11.6-inch portrait touchscreen display with wireless Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well as a wireless Qi smartphone charger.

There are both USB-A and USB-C ports for power supply and communications.

Prices are up between $1800 (2.0L) and $3000 (Hybrid S) on the equivalent XV variants.
