TAKE TWO FOR LEXUS LUXURY PEOPLE MOVER

Lexus is chasing hire car operators with the launch of the new upmarket LM hybrid- powered people mover. The second-generation LM (short for luxury mover) has been unveiled at the 2023 Shanghai motor show. Sharing a platform with the Toyota Camry, Kluger and RAV4, as well as three current Lexus models, it looks much like a Tarago behind the Lexus spindle grille. NOT ELECTRIC, NOT HYBRID – BUT DON’T BE MIFA(D)

LDV’s new Mifa people mover is coming, but it’s not the electric one – at least not yet. Arriving this month Mifa comes in three grades – Mode, Executive and Luxe – powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which delivers 160kW of power and 360Nm of torque, through an 8-speed Japanese Aisin automatic gearbox.
