Renault Kangoo is Europe’s number one selling small van and has been on sale in Australia since 1997.

For model year 2020 features have been added across the range.

The MY20 Kangoo range consists of two models; the Compact with an 84 kW 1.2-litre petrol engine, driving through either a manual or automatic transmission. And the Maxi comes with an 81 kW 1.5-litre diesel. It’s sold only as an automatic.

All models now come standard with glazed 180-degree opening rear barn doors, a rear-view camera, automatic dusk-sensing headlights, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and foglights.

They now also have rear parking sensors, cruise control, hill start assist, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity with audio streaming, folding electric side mirrors and a leather wrapped steering wheel.

Two option packs are available – Trade and Business.

The Trade Pack includes an anti-slip timber floor, full height timber side protection panelling and LED ceiling lights.

The Business Pack comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control air-conditioning, extra tinted barn door glass and a satin chrome two-tone front bumper.

Other options include Renault’s R-Link navigation and audio system with Android Auto and metallic paint.

The MY20 Kangoo is available with two solid colours (Mineral White and Urban Grey) and seven metallic (Mocha brown, Highland Grey, Oyster Grey, Star Blue, Carmen Red, Jet Black and Poppy Red). Metallic paint adds an extra $660 to the recommended retail price.

Renault Kangoo comes with a three-year / unlimited distance warranty and is included in the Renault capped price servicing and roadside assistance program. Three years’ capped price servicing is included with service schedules of 15,000 km annually.

Kangoo customers also receive one year of complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance. This is extended to four years when all services are completed at a Renault dealership.

“The Kangoo range has been very popular in Australia combining great driving dynamics with a range of payloads perfectly suited to local businesses,” said the managing director of Renault Australia Anouk Poelmann.

‘With the addition of customer-friendly features, the 2020 Kangoo is set to write another successful page in the history of the Renault brand here in Australia.”

Prices are $25,490 for the Compact manual, $27,990 for the Compact auto and $31,490 for the Maxi auto. Government and dealer charges have to be added.
