NEW NAMES, EXTRA FEATURES FOR 2024 HYUNDAI PALISADE

Hyundai Australia has released details of its MY2024 flagship Palisade seven-seat
SUV including a name change for its high-spec variant as well as additional standard
features.

Launched here in 2020, and upgraded in 2022, Palisade is the largest model in
Hyundai’s SUV range. At a smidgeon under five metres, it’s around the same size
and price as competitors such as Toyota Kluger, Mazda CX-90 and Kia Sorento.
The previous Highlander name for the top-grade Palisade has now been replaced
with the Calligraphy and a higher-spec Black Ink variant – no doubt in line with the
elegant writing theme.

The Elite name is retained for the entry-level model.

As before, both Palisade variants get the choice of 3.8-litre direct-injection petrol or
2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines, each mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Calligraphy Black Ink variant is exclusively offered for 2024 Palisade with white
or black exterior and applies a blacked-out treatment to the interior and exterior.

The Calligraphy Black Ink treatment is headlined by a dark tinted radiator grille and
bumper garnish and gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels.

The look is tied together with dark tinted front and rear skid plates, lower door
garnishes, taillight garnishes and badging, with black glossy roof rails completing the
monochromatic impression.

The treatment continues inside with Black Suede appointed seats and headlining.

2024 Palisade Elite gains extra standard features in the form of a heated steering
wheel and an eight-way power adjustable passenger seat.

Interior mood is enhanced with a m lange knit headlining and pillar trims, wood-look
interior trim inserts, deluxe alloy scuff plates, and a cargo area carpet mat.

Palisade Elite also gains sound-insulating acoustic laminated front door glass, in
addition to the standard acoustic windshield.

The Calligraphy gains convenient touch-type climate control screen, hydrophobic
(water-repellent) front door glass and acoustic laminated rear door glass, over and
above the preceding flagship’s extensive standard equipment.

Nine colours are available, only one of them standard with the eight Premium tints a
$695 option.

New Hyundai Palisade is on sale now priced from $66,800 to $80,900 plus on-road
costs. These are around $1000 up from the outgoing models.
