Due in the second half of the year, the new Corolla Cross range will include a GR Sport.
The bad news is that it will not get the turbo powerhouse from GR Corolla.
The GR Sport will join the existing line-up of GX, GXL and Atmos, all of which get more equipment and a refreshed exterior design.
As the performance flagship the AWD-only GR Sport is differentiated by exclusive features including a unique front bumper and darkened 19-inch GR Sport alloys, Sport mode, specially tuned and lowered coil springs and shock absorbers and electric power steering tuning.
The new look will include a new integrated mesh grille and revised LED headlight signature for GXL grades and up.
A new line-up of colours will be introduced on the upgraded Corolla Cross including Massive Grey, Ink, Ash Slate, Shadow Platinum and Feverish Red, along with the carry-over Glacier White and Frosted White.
Shadow Platinum, Feverish Red, Frosted White and Ash Slate will also be available with an optional two-tone black roof on select variants.
