Last chance to get a V8 Patrol

If you have your heart set on a V8-powered Nissan Patrol, you’d better get in quick.

Nissan reveals production of the Y62 Patrol ends in August, with the Premcar Warrior version to follow soon afterwards.

It’s replacement, the Y63 Patrol will be powered by a twin-turbo petrol V6.

The Y62 run-out marks the closing chapter on more than a decade of V8 power for one of Australia’s most enduring, full-sized off-road SUVs.

Nissan’s Steve Milette said Patrol has been a constant presence in Australian motoring, while the Y62 has played a defining role in that legacy.

“Its 5.6-litre V8 is part of what has made this generation so beloved by enthusiasts, families and adventurers alike.”

“As we look ahead to the all-new to Australia Y63 later this year, the run-out of the Y62 represents a genuine ‘last chance’ moment for Australians who want to add a new V8 Patrol to their garage.”

The 5.6-litre V8 produces 298kW of power and 560Nm of torque, earning the Patrol a reputation for exceptional towing and off-road capability, effortless performance and proven durability — qualities that are sure to make the V8 Patrol a highly sought-after collector’s item.

Even more collectable will be the Australian-engineered flagship of the V8 Patrol line-up – the Warrior by Premcar.

Developed in collaboration with Melbourne-based Premcar, Patrol Warrior takes the Y62’s V8 platform and adds purposeful upgrades for Australian conditions, including locally engineered suspension tuning, increased ground clearance, all-terrain tyres on bespoke wheels and exterior styling enhancements.

Notably, a bi-modal side-exit exhaust system gives the Patrol Warrior the perfect soundtrack — quiet and refined while cruising, yet unleashing a deep, unmistakable V8 note under hard acceleration.

Each Warrior is hand-finished through a secondary-stage manufacturing process and carries Nissan’s full factory warranty.

Customers interested in securing a new Y62 Patrol or Patrol Warrior are encouraged to visit their local Nissan dealer. Stock is finite, with availability varying by grade and dealer.

Prices start from $96,540 for the Ti, $108,040 for the Ti-L and $116,600 for the Premcar Warrior.

The all-new to Australia Y63 Patrol, revealed globally in left-hand drive markets — will be available to order later this year.
