Ranger 4×4 XLT Double Cab Chassis will join Ford’s line-up from December 2020. It’s almost car-like with features like dual-zone climate control, a high-resolution full-colour 8.0-inch touchscreen, steering-wheel mounted controls for voice-activated features, access to DAB+ audio features, with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility.
It also shows the built-in sat-nav with one of our favourites features – breadcrumbs. This is particularly useful on off-road driving for easy return, or to later revisit places that really appeal to you.
Options include black 18-inch alloys wheels leather-accented seating, convenience of adaptive cruise control with steering-wheel buttons.
With 157kW/500Nm, the latest-generation Bi-Turbo powertrain has a specifically tuned, new generation 10-speed automatic. The 10-speed includes a lock-out feature to hold specific gears for ease when towing.
Buyers can opt for a 3.2-litre, five-cylinder common-rail turbo-diesel, available in both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic, for a powertrain solution to suit a wide variety of needs and uses.
Ford Ranger 4×4 XLT Double Cab Chassis has a five-star ANCAP safety rating, with standard equipment including AEB with Pedestrian Detection, SYNC 3 with Emergency Assist.
Ranger is eligible for the Ford Service Benefits program at participating Ford dealerships. With 15,000km/12-month service intervals, A and B log-book services for the first four years/60,000km are set at a maximum of $299 per service.
Ford Service Benefits give Ranger owners a Service Loan Car, Auto Club Membership including Roadside Assistance as well as sat-nav map updates.
