BMW Australia advises that the all-new BMW 1 Series will be in Australia later this year at a date to yet to be revealed. The third generation 1 Series will initially be sold with two models, the 118i priced at $42,990 and $63,990 for M135i xDrive. On-road costs have to be added to these figures. BMW Australia has significantly expanded its range of topline X5 and X7 SAV (Sports Activity Vehicles). The new xDrive25d uses a four-cylinder TwinPower turbo-diesel that develops 170kW of power and 450Nm of torque. This is driven through an eight-speed Sport Steptronic transmission. BMW has provided advanced information on its upcoming third generation X6 Sports Activity Coupe (SAC). The new BMW X6 has grown by 26 millimetres in exterior length over the outgoing model (to 4935 mm) and by 15 mm in width (to 2004 mm).
