GENESIS G70 3.3T

Although it’s been on sale in overseas markets since 2016 and in Australia since 2019, the Genesis brand remains largely unknown here. During our week-long road test of the Genesis G70 we regularly had to explain that it was the luxury sub-brand of Hyundai, akin the relationship between Lexus and Toyota. KIA CERATO IS WELL-EQUIPPED AND KEENLY PRICED

Launched here in 2004, the small Cerato hatch or sedan has been one of Kia’s biggest sellers, often sharing the Australian sales podium alongside Toyota Corolla, Hyundai i30 and Mazda3. The current, fourth generation, Cerato has been on sale here since 2018 with an upgrade in 2021 adding new tech features as well as the fresh new Kia logo. TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID SL

Before discussing the Camry Hybrid, it should be pointed out that you can’t actually buy one right now. With a two-year waiting list due to production delays, Toyota Australia has been forced to “pause” orders for Camry hybrid variants due to extraordinary demand. A new ninth generation Camry was unveiled in the United States in November, so it will be interesting to see how Toyota plays this one. KIA CERATO 2013 – 2021
