Ford Australia has announced pricing and specifications for the highly anticipated F-150
due to go on sale here in the second half of 2023.
The F-150 will be remanufactured to right-hand drive by the Melbourne-based company
RMA Automotive. It will come with the standard Ford five-year, unlimited kilometre
warranty later this year and will be sold through the Ford nationwide dealer network.
The new F-150 range will comprise four variants: XLT and Lariat each with the option of
short (3683mm) or long (3987mm) wheelbases.
The tray in the SWB models is 1676mm long and 1981mm in the LWBs. All F-150 models
in Australia are capable of towing 4500 kilograms.
Commenting on the F-150’s return, Tom Dohrmann, F-150 Assistant Chief Program
Engineer, Ford Australia said: “As an iconic full-size American pick-up, the F-150 is joining
Australian showrooms thanks to an extensive and meticulous local re-engineering
program. Together with RMA Automotive, Ford Australia earned the privilege of
developing a world-first right-hand drive program for the F-150.”
Both F-150 models will come with 4×4 Crew Cab configuration and will be powered by
Ford’s top-selling 3.5-litre EcoBoost Twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine with maximum power of
