FORD CUTS PRICES ON ITS EV RANGE

Ford Australia has joined the trend towards lower EV prices with cuts to its Mustang Mach-E SUV and E-Transit commercial van. Importantly it brings all Ford fully-electric down below the $100,000 barrier. In the case of the three Mustang variants, it’s the second round of savings following earlier cuts from the pre-launch prices. The entry level Mustang Mach-E Select is now priced at $64,990, down $8000 from the previous price.   Ford Focus is a small-medium European model that has never had the success it  deserves in Australia. That’s probably because dual-clutch automatics sold from 2011 till  2015 had many problems and these led to the complete car being given a poor reputation.   The dual-clutch was replaced by a six-speed conventional torque convertor automatic  transmission in September 2015 as part of a major makeover of the complete range.   Ford Focus is pretty well made these days, though generally not to the extremely high  standards of the Asian models…. In response to increasing competition in the premium EV market Ford Australia has announced significant cuts in the prices of its all-new Mustang Mach-E fully-electric SUV range. NEW FORD F-150 NOW BEING DELIVERED

Ford Australia has kicked off customer deliveries of the iconic Ford F-150. To mark the milestone, the company recently invited select owners to tour the RMA Automotive facility in Mickleham, north of Melbourne, where the vehicles are re-manufactured into right-hand drive. The customers met Ford Australia’s Product Development engineers as well as RMA Automotive leadership for an in-depth tour into the facility, which can re-manufacture up to 20 F-150s each day, using an assembly line with 65 individual stations. MUSTANG BREAKS THE $100K BARRIER

Ford’s Mustang tops the $100,000 barrier with the arrival of the new, seventh generation Pony car. The latest Mustang will be available in three models when it gets here next year: EcoBoost, GT — and all-new Dark Horse. Prices start from $64,990 for the EcoBoost fastback, with an auto and turbo four-pot. Ford Australia has released full specifications and pricing on its new fully-electric Mustang E-Mach SUV, due here in the 4th quarter of this year. The first production Ford ever developed from the ground up to deliver pure-electric, zero-emission driving will come in three variants: Select, priced before on-road costs from $79,990, Premium ($91,665) and GT ($107,665).
