Ford Australia has joined the trend towards lower EV prices with cuts to its Mustang Mach-E SUV and E-Transit commercial van.
Importantly it brings all Ford fully-electric down below the $100,000 barrier.
In the case of the three Mustang variants, it’s the second round of savings following earlier cuts from the pre-launch prices.
The entry level Mustang Mach-E Select is now priced at $64,990, down $8000 from the previous price. The Higher-spec Mach-E Premium and GT models each drop by $7000 to $79,990 and $97,990 respectively.
The E-Transit van gets the biggest reduction, down from $104,990 to $89,990.
Ford also recently announced it is supporting customers with at-home infrastructure via a partnership with charging specialists EVIE networks.
The partnership provides a solution for both EVIE in-home chargers and public fast charging vouchers at EVIE branded public chargers.
Available to order from Evie Networks both online at ford.com.au and through an Authorised Ford EV Dealer, the EV Charging Package includes a Teltonika Teltocharge 7.4kW single-phase wallbox, 5-meter tethered cable with Type 2 connector, and a smartphone app enabling charge scheduling, along with remote monitoring and control.
The EV Charging Package is available to both new and existing Ford customers, and is offered from $2,580, including the hardware, standard installation and $400 worth of free charging at any of Evie Network’s more than 230 public fast charging locations nationwide.
“Being able to avoid the cost and inconvenience of the petrol station and just plug in while you’re at home is a big value-add for EV owners, so helping our customers to facilitate home charging while they’re at the Ford dealer makes perfect sense,” said Ford Australia chief, Andrew Birkic.

Mustang Mach-E Select: $64,990 ($72,990)
Mustang Mach-E Premium: $79,990 ($86,990)
Mustang Mach-E GT: $97,990 ($104,990)
E-Transit: $89,990 ($104,990)
