An All-New Haval H6 medium SUV will go on sale in Australia in the second quarter of this year. Local testing has been underway for some time, though at this stage the Chinese maker won’t advise what changes have been made for our market. Simply saying that details will be provided at the time of its release to the press.
Sitting on a completely new lightweight modular platform, the H6 will be the most technologically advanced SUV in the marque’s history.
What we do know at this time is that it’s powered by an upgraded version of the current four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 150kW of power and 320Nm of torque.
The only transmission at this stage is a seven-speed dual-clutch unit, driving either the front wheels or all four wheels. The 4WD offers Standard, Economy, Sports and All-Terrain settings.
With a wheelbase of 2738mm, length of 4653mm, width of 1886mm the new generation H6 is larger than the model it replaces.
The new H6 has been engineered to meet the highest safety standards. Active safety features include autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition and driver fatigue monitoring will be standard across the range.
