TOYOTA PRADO KAKADU HORIZON

Toyota_Prado_Kakadu_Horizon_front_1Toyota has dressed up its top-of-the-range Prado SUV with the launch of a Kakadu Horizon special edition.

The Horizon special edition has changes to the front bumper spoiler and spats for the rear bumper, chrome side moulding and chrome-accented mirror covers, metallic/pearl paint finish, clear rear combination lights and an exclusive Horizon badge.

Inside, it gains two rear USB charging outlets and illuminated front scuff plates.

Kakadu Horizon model is based on the 2.8-litre turbo diesel six-speed automatic Kakadu. As a genuine SUV it has a dual-range four-wheel drive system, crawl control and multi-terrain select. There is also variable suspension and rear air suspension.

As the premium variant in the range, the standard seven-seat Prado Kakadu has three-zone climate control, leather-accented heated and ventilated power front seats, electrically adjustable steering column, power third row folding seat.

It features JBL audio system and a rear DVD entertainment system.

Toyota Safety Sense features include lane departure alert, automatic high-beam, active cruise control and pre-collision safety system (PCS), together with blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.

As with all Toyota Prados, bar the entry level GX, the Kakadu Horizon is offered with a choice of a standard tailgate with a spare wheel mount or a flat tailgate that moves the spare underneath and incorporates an independently-opening glass hatch.

The Toyota Prado Kakadu Horizon limited edition is priced from $89,590. On-road costs have to be factored in.
