NEW HAVAL JOLION IS NOW IN AUSTRALIA

The first shipments of the Haval Jolion LE (Launch Edition) SUV have arrived into Australia. The LE is available in two grades initially, the mid-grade Lux and range-topping Ultra. Only 300 units are coming to Australia.

The Jolion is built on the company’s new global lightweight modular platform which Haval says will provide a more refined and enjoyable driving experience.

The Jolion LE has a chromed grille with horizontal accents to give it a premium impression to set it apart from future models.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 110kW of power and 210Nm of torque. It has front wheel drive through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Drive modes are Standard, Eco, Sport and Snow.

The Jolion has a wheelbase of 2700mm, is 4472mm long 1841mm wide. This puts it into the top end of the mid-size SUVs currently on sale in Australia.

With the flexibility and feature set of a larger SUV but at a small SUV price point, the Jolion is expected to stand out in a competitive market and make significant contribution to growing the GWM brand further in Australia and international markets.

Technology is very much at the fore with features such as a colour LED instrument cluster, heads-up display, camera-based fatigue monitoring and wireless charging available.

Safety also remains a priority with autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and rear cross traffic alert all standard across the range.

With contemporary styling both inside and out, the Haval Jolion is the second of the new Haval SUV line-up to be conceived by designer Phil Simmons.

Produced in GWM’s new state-of-the-art production facility in Taizhou, near Shanghai, the Haval Jolion is an important strategic model in realising the company’s international growth ambitions.

Prices start from $27,990 driveaway for the mid-spec Jolion Lux LE.

Top of the range Jolion Ultra LE is $30,990 driveaway.
