Infotainment is now shown on a 10.3-inch screen, significantly up from the previous 7.0-inch unit. The Lexus Remote Touch pad is larger and we are assured this is now easier to use. We did criticise the touch pad during our previous testing so will borrow an RC sometime soon and comment on the changes.
The controls for the active cruise control system have also been simplified.
The topline V8 RC F is now offered with Carbon variant that uses carbon-fibre technology to its roof, active rear wing and interior trim for weight saving. The bonnet is now aluminium, replacing carbon fibre.
The 3.5-litre twin-cam V6 engine in the Lexus RC 350 has been revised to provide greater flexibility while reducing fuel consumption by about three per cent.
Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+) for the RC Line and RC F models can now detect pedestrians as well as other vehicles. The upgraded lane departure warning function now includes steering assist and steering-wheel vibration alert.
