HYUNDAI SANTA FE: NEW ‘ACTIVE X’ MODEL

Hyundai_SantaFe_ActiveX_frontHyundai’s has added a new variant to its Santa Fe range, the Active X. It sits between the range-opening Active and the mid-grade Elite.

Rear privacy glass is intended to give the feeling of riding in the back of a limousine. This is enhanced by leather seat trim, a premium finish dashboard, fabric A-pillar covers and melange knit headlining. A choice of black or dark beige interior trim combinations is offered.

it has a dual-zone climate control air conditioning system, with automatic windscreen defogging function and glovebox compartment cooling.

Power folding exterior mirrors with integrated puddle lamps and classy satin chrome exterior door handles.

Major safety features include: forward collision-avoidance assist; driver inattention warning; automatic high-low beam; lane keeping assist; and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance.

It can be powered by 3.5-litre V6 petrol driving only the front wheel, or a 2.2-litre diesel with all-wheel drive. It rides on twin-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels.

Prices are $47,050 for the petrol and $50,050 for the diesel, plus on-road costs.
