The growth in sales of Chinese vehicles continues to gain momentum. Jolion sounds like one of those decent chaps in a Billy Bunter or Tom Brown’s Schooldays caper – a young toff in a starched collar and a top hat. It is, in fact, a compact sports utility vehicle from a Chinese company generally known for its cheap-as-chips workhorse utes. The GWM Haval H6 has just arrived in Australia and is significantly better than the superseded model that we weren’t keen on prior to this. There’s no doubt the Chinese are very quick learners and are keen to be major players in the automotive world. This has resulted in greatly improved build quality control, as well as improvements in overall on-road dynamics. Haval’s ongoing improvement of the H2 sees the small sports utility vehicle pick up a range of advanced automotive systems.
