2022 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER: PRICING AND SPECIFICATION

Mitsubishi Australia has announced pricing and specification for its 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander, which is built on a new platform and has additional driver connectivity and assistance items.

The 2022 Outlander uses the design language of “I-Fu-Do-Do”, which means “authentic and majestic” in Japanese. We aren’t sure Mitsubishi Australia will make use this in its promotional material or advertising…

New Mitsubishi Outlander has third-row seating as standard in all models LS and above.

Apple CarPlay (wireless is now standard) and Android Auto (wired) integration are standard. Wireless smartphone charging is fitted on LS models and above.

A 9-inch horizontal infotainment touchscreen is standard on all models. Outlander ES and LS models also have 7-inch colour multi-information display in the instrument cluster.

A 10-speaker BOSE premium audio system is standard on Exceed models. Additionally, a 10.8-inch full-colour windscreen projection head-up display is fitted on Aspire models and above.

Outlander features a newly developed 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine driving through a continuously variable transmission. Eight preset gear ratios can be chosen by the driver.

Mitsubishi’s motorsport-derived Super All-Wheel Control provides drivers with six drive modes that will adjust the electronically-controlled 4WD system to best suit the road surface/conditions. This allows drivers to feel more confident in all driving situations.

Standard and available advanced driver assistance systems include Lane Departure Prevention, Driver Attention Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition to assist with maintaining appropriate speed and following distance.

New to the Outlander are Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, Hill Descent Control, Trailer Stability Assist, and Adaptive Driving Beam.

Depending on trim level, the all-new Outlander also offers: Forward Collision Mitigation with MMC first application of cyclist detection and junction assist, Blind Spot Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic High Beam, and a Multi Around Monitor camera system with moving object detection.

Mitsubishi Outlander is covered by the company’s 10/10 Diamond Advantage warranty, comprising up to 10 years/200,000km manufacturer’s warranty plus 10 years capped price servicing. This requires that the vehicle has always been serviced by an official Mitsubishi dealer.

It also offers up to four-year/unlimited distance roadside assistance program.
