Lamborghini is rolling out its new Revuelto hybrid super car around the world.
A petrol V12 and three electric motors, together with a new eight-speed twin clutch
transmission deliver a combined 757kW of power at 9250 rpm 3and 725Nm of torque, the
latter 6750 rpm.
With drive to all four wheels, the dash from 0-100km/k takes a scant 2.5 seconds on its
way to a top speed of more than 350km/h.
Lamborghini describes the powertrain as a triumph of “hybridisation” technology.
The 6.5-litre V12 has been rotated 180 degrees for its new role, with a new, more efficient
combustion system, a new exhaust system that reduces backpressure at high revs, a new
intake system with improved runner fluid dynamics for torque and power, an improved oil
and water system, and a valve train with new HLA radius tappet for high speed.
The three electric motors are powered by a lithium-ion high specific power (4500 W/kg)
battery pack that also supports a fully-electric drive mode.
With a carbon-fibre monocoque, architecture Revuelto is 4947mm long, 2266mm wide,
1160mm high and has a dry weight of 1772kg (witb a 44:56 weight distribution). The front
axle features two e-motors whose primary functions are torque vectoring, regenerative
braking, and providing an electric boost with a peak power of over 140kW.
In addition, the front e-axle is designed to optimise balance and reduce the weight-to-
power ratio to increase performance levels.
The rear e-motor is mounted right behind the V12 engine and functions as a starter for the
engine itself as well as a generator to recharge the batteries. It also drains energy toward
the front axle and provides additional torque input based on driving modes.
Revuelto rides on 20/21-inch rims sa standard, with 345/30 and 265/35 series Bridgestone
Potenza runflat rubber.
With the Revuelto, Lamborghini launches a new Space Race, ushering in a design
language that adapts to the challenges imposed by electrification, and presaging the
shapes and proportions of super sports cars of the near future.
The design is inspired by aerospace elements, characterised by sculpted surfaces
encompassed by two lines that start from the front and embrace the cabin and engine,
tapering down to the hexagonal-shaped exhausts.
Carbon fibre, produced via artisan craftmanship in the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, is
the principal structural element within the new car, used not only in the monofuselage and
frame but also for many elements of the bodywork. The extensive use of carbon fibre and
lightweight materials, combined with the potent engine power, contributes to achieving the
best weight-to-power ratio in the history of Lamborghini: 1,75 kg/CV.
The new Revuelto combines these attributes to deliver performance figures at the peak of
its segment: acceleration from 0-100 km/h in only 2,5 seconds and a top speed of more
than 350 km/h.
These numbers combine with its exceptional dynamism thanks to the introduction of
electric torque vectoring, and four-wheel drive available also in fully-electric drive mode,
ensuring the Revuelto super sports car expresses its amplified qualities both on track and
in daily driving.
The Revuelto offers a completely new Human Machine Interface (HMI) system consisting
of three displays: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 8.4-inch central display and in addition a
9.1-inch display.
The system has a fresh look and feel, with 3D graphics, animations, widgets and styling.
The vehicle comes with a three-year warranty and five-year/75,000km maintenance plan
that covers all the planned standard.
