Peugeot Australia has introduced plug-in hybrid electric variants of the 3008 SUV and 508
Fastback to its model range.

Kate Gillis, Managing Director Peugeot Australia, said: “So far, the Peugeot 3008 GT
Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD and Peugeot 508 GT Fastback Plug-In Hybrid have received an
extremely positive reception through our pre-launch test drive program.

“Peugeot has made a global commitment to have an electrified variant across the entire
model line-up by 2025, so the local arrival of the 3008 and 508 plug-in hybrid electric
vehicles is a pioneering moment for the brand in Australia as we set out on our future of
electrification,” she said.

“Peugeot’s plug-in hybrid variants offer our customers an enriched driving experience with
an array of clever technology working to enhance overall performance and efficiency using
both the electric motors and combustion engine,” Ms Gillis added.

Priced at $79,990, the Peugeot 3008 GT Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD achieves up to 60km
(WLTP) of electric driving range through a 13.2kWh battery capacity.

It’s driven by a 147kW petrol engine and dual electric motors – 81kW from the front electric
motor and 83kW from the rear electric motor.

The 3008 GT Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD is the first variant introduced in all-wheel drive to
the Australian market. Utilising newly developed Electric Rear Axle Drive uses the front
and rear dual electric motors to offer a responsive drive.

It produces 165kW of power resulting from a 133kW PureTech engine combined with an
81kW electric motor. Pairing a 11.8kWh battery capacity with an electric driving range of
up to 55km (WLTP), the pure electric driving experience offers range suited for the daily
commute.
