THE MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS GP

Mini_JCW_GP_frontThe MINI John Cooper Works GP is a special edition to celebrate Mini’s many motor racing achievements over extended periods.

Limited to just 3,000 units it’s a follow up to the John Cooper Works GP series that sold very well in 2013 and 2006.

Visually it stands out, with a wide track, large front apron and flared wheel arches, not to forget a rear wing that’s even visible even from the front of the car.

Lightweight materials such as carbon fibre significantly improve the power- to-weight ratio. The 18-inch lightweight forged wheels in bi-colour design suggest a filigree style. These are the lightest 18-inch forged wheel ever used on a MINI.

MINI John Cooper Works GP does not have a rear seat, to achieve lower overall weight. The interior of the combines sporty flair with strong colour accentuations. Each decorative trim strip bears the vehicle’s limited-edition production number.

The driver has a free-standing digital instrument cluster on the steering column. There are aluminium shift paddles on the sports steering wheel. Fascinatingly these are manufactured using 3D printing.

MINI Australia has secured just 65 of the 3,000 MINI JCW GPs produced globally. Priced at $63,900. Demand has already been high, with pre-orders securing almost all of the allocation.
