MERCEDES-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ LIMITED EDITION

Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ Limited Edition is limited to only 299 vehicles worldwide. There are 20 coming to Australia.

Exterior details include a new front apron with striking air intakes, two louvres at the sides, and a front splitter in high gloss black framing a new AMG-specific radiator grille.

The rear apron has a black diffuser-look insert and a silver-chrome trim strip, while the bootlid is finished with an AMG spoiler lip. Dark-tinted privacy glass from the B-pillar back adds to the stealth look.

It has an AMG Performance steering wheel, Nappa leather upholstery in two-tone silver-grey pearl/black, surround lighting with AMG brand logo projection, even an AMG indoor car cover.

There are red brake callipers and a darkened radiator grille. It sits on 20-inch matte black AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels, high-gloss black exterior badging, and either Cashmere White Magno or Selenite Grey Magno paintwork.

Standard equipment includes a 13 speaker Burmester surround sound system, powered and heated front seats with memory function, 64-colour ambient interior lighting, wireless charging for compatible devices, smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, and open-pore black ash wood trim.

Power comes from a 320 kW and 520 Nm from the 3.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine. To that is added electric support of up to 16 kW and 250 Nm available from the 48-volt Internal Starter-Generator.

Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes just 4.5 seconds.
