MAHINDRA ADDS XUV700 TO THE MID-SIZED SUV MARKET

Hot on the heels of the recent launch of its Scorpio large SUV, Indian carmaker Mahindra has added a mid-sized competitor to vehicles such as the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, Mitsubishi Outlander et al. The seven-seat Mahindra XUV700 is built from the ground up on an all-new platform. The spectacular growth in vehicles sourced from China (over 60 per cent between 2021 and 2022) shows that Australian buyers are willing to think outside of the Japan/Korea square. MAHINDRA UPGRADES ITS XUV 500 SUV

The XUV500 is a large seven-seat SUV from Indian manufacturer Mahindra that’s been on sale in Australia since 2012. Originally sold as a diesel manual the latest just-released model comes with a Euro 5 2.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
