TIRED of your $250,000 Lamborghini Urus?
That’s unlikely, but if that is indeed the case, and you have access to at least another $250,000, you can swap it for a Rezvani Knight. (Or spend a lot more for a Rezvani Dark Knight).
The Californian maker of exotic vehicles has come up with a Urus-based machine that it says ‘combines supercar aesthetics with military inspiration.’
That translates to an eye-catching gunmetal grey supercar that’s equally at home on freeways and rough off-road terrain.
The Knight uses the Urus’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, slightly fettled to produce up to 597kW, depending on buyer preference.
That’s 106kW more than the last generation Urus, and Rezvani says it will run to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds flat.
Like all Rezvanis, the Knight is aimed at folk who want to stand out from the crowd.
Exclusivity comes at a price, and the company says it will build just 100 examples.
Buyers also have to provide a donor Urus, no older than a 2019 model.
“The goal was to push the limits of merging aggressive supercar styling and performance with daily practicality and off-road capability,” Ferris Rezvani said.
“We’ve revolutionised the SUV market with aggressive designs, breaking away from the mundane.”
He has a point, since one SUV looks much like any other from a distance.
The Knight’s aggressive body lines are inspired by futuristic virtual vehicles, hypercars and military SUVs, all contributing to its one-of-a-kind design.
The exterior design features angled armoured plates inspired by military vehicles, combined with muscular curves that give it strong shoulders and an organic supercar look.
The muscular rear enhances its sci-fi look with futuristic lights and sculpted body panels.
Plus, it runs on 22-inch wheels and 33-inch off-road tyres to handle any terrain.
Buyers can work with a Rezvani designer to craft a bespoke leather interior.
There are five unique Rezvani Nappa Leather seat patterns and extra customised components for ‘a truly unique driving experience.’
Your Knight can also be had with an optional valved exhaust system for ‘a more sensory experience.’
But its biggest party trick is the optional Dark Knight package.
Check the option box, and buyers can pick bulletproof glass and body panels, underside explosive protection, military-spec run-flat tyres, a steel ram bumper, and a reinforced suspension.
Inside, the Dark Knight package adds gas masks, a first aid kit, a pepper spray dispenser, an intercom system, sirens, horns, and strobe lights.
Other options include bulletproof vests and helmets for occupants, there’s a thermal night vision system.
As well, there’s whatever electromagnetic pulse protection is, magnetic deadbolts suggest the doors will defy baddies trying to get at you, and for potential carjackers, a further deterrent is electrified door handles.
No Lamborghini Urus can offer that, so if you consider yours mundane, you can, for a price, change it for something that will give you the most versatile, safe and distinctive supercar on the planet.
