Hyundai Tucson 2018

Hyundai Tucson 2018

Hyundai’s popular Tucson SUV has been given upgraded powertrains, a solid facelift, new design wheels and a revised interior.

There’s a strong emphasis on infotainment and safety technology. Every 2019 Tucson has more standard equipment than the preceding model.

A new entry level model has been released and features the interesting tag of Tucson Go.

The tablet-style multimedia system is standard across the Tucson range including access to both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Tucson Active X has additional features including leather interior trim, an 8-inch satellite navigation system with live traffic and lifetime map updates, Infinity Premium Audio, rear park assist and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Hyundai Tucson has a new eight-speed automatic beside the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine with all-wheel-drive. This powertrain is offered in each of the four model grades.

A 2.0-litre petrol is sold in Tucson Go, Active X and Elite, and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol is offered in the Elite and Highlander grades.

The 2019 Tucson Elite has added safety features and now provides Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW).

Note that Hyundai’s e SmartSense pack is an option on Tucson Go and Active models with automatic transmission. It has Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

As before, the Tucson benefits from a specific suspension and steering calibration honed to suit Australian driving conditions and drivers’ desires.
