UPDATES TO MITSUBISHI TRITON UTILITY


Mitsubishi has provided details of what it calls the “22.5 Model Year” update of its Triton
pickup range.

The range-topping Mitsubishi Triton GSR dual-cab pickup adopts the high-end
smartphone link Display Audio system with 7.0-inch touchscreen, six speakers, digital
radio and Bluetooth connectivity with voice control and audio streaming

This high-end system also features the Multi Around Monitor, which provides a 360-degree
bird’s eye view of the vehicle to assist maneuvering, and an HDMI port for additional
connectivity.

MiDisplay audio system with smartphone connectivity now featured on diesel Cab-Chassis
and GLX pickup

All Triton diesel Cab-Chassis and GLX pickup now have a 7.0-inch MiDisplay infotainment
system.

This four-speaker touchscreen system allows Apple and Android smartphone connectivity.
It has a 3-in-1 USB to Lightning Type C & Micro USB cable. Digital radio and Bluetooth
connectivity and audio streaming are included.

The entry-level, petrol-powered GLX Cab Chassis 4×2 manual retains its 6.1-inch
touchscreen Display Audio unit with CD player and two speakers.

Carried over from MY22, the Triton GLS Deluxe and GSR Tan Orange Interior option
packages provide a further sense of sophistication and individualisation for these high-
grade Dual Cab pickup models.

The GLS Deluxe package is available for automatic GLS Dual Cab pickups and
comprises:
Leather appointed seat trim
Powered Driver’s Seat adjustment
Heated Front Seats
Door trims with leather appointed inserts
Multi Around Monitor
Choosing the Triton GSR with the Tan Orange Interior Option adds:
Tan orange leather appointed highlights on black leather appointed seats
Black leather appointed door trims with orange stitching
Tan orange console box and knee pad
Black steering wheel, gear shifter and park brake finished with tan orange stitching
Practicality and style: The Triton GSR with Roll Top Tonneau Pack

Using the range as inspiration, the Roll Top Tonneau Pack for Triton GSR packages
together key accessories to create a unique look with additional practicality.

Fabric seats, finished in black/grey, are standard on Triton GLX, GLX+ and GLX-R
models. The GLS has a black/silver sports fabric trim. The GLS Deluxe and GSR models
gain black leather appointed trim with contrasting silver stitching.

Mitsubishi Triton GSR with the Tan Orange Interior Option feature contrasting black and
orange leather appointed upholstery.

The entry-level Triton GLX Single Cab Chassis 4×2 is powered by a 94kW 2.4-litre petrol
engine with a five-speed manual transmission. Combined ADR 81/02 fuel consumption is
rated at 11.4L/100km.

All other variants have a MIVEC 2.4-litre, intercooled turbodiesel engine, with a choice of
4×2 or 4×4, six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions.

This 2.4-litre produces 133kW of power at 3500rpm, it has 430Nm of torque output, but its
peak isn’t reached until a rather high 2500rpm. Fuel consumption, according to ADR 81/02
standards, ranges from 7.8L/100km to 8.6L/100km, depending on vehicle grade and
transmission.

All Mitsubishi Triton models have a range of passive and active safety features, including
airbags to the front and side for both the driver and front passenger, curtain airbags and a
driver’s knee airbag.

he said.

Prices range from $24,240 for a GLX Single Cab Chassis manual to $63,390 for the GSR
Tan Orange Interior Double Cab Pick-Up automatic with a Roll Top Tonneau Pack. On-
road costs need to be added. Contact your local dealer for these and prices of the other
models in the large range.
