Mercedes-Benz GLB has a wheelbase 100 mm longer than the standard B-Class, so is the first compact vehicle from the upmarket Germany marque to offer a third row of seats. HIGH-PERFORMANCE MERCEDES-BENZ GLE 53 SUV

Mercedes-Benz hAs announced the addition of a new high-performance variant – the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+. The GLE 53 has a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine fitted with twin turbochargers (one conventional turbo and one electric compressor) plus EQ Boost. The latter is a 48V electric starter-generator that adds extra acceleration, taking the big SUV from zero to 100km/h in 5.3 seconds. Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupé ‘Aero Edition 63’ is coming to Australia and New Zealand. And in a neat bit of marketing just 63 are on offer – 57 to and 6 to the Kiwis. MERCEDES ADDS SEDANS TO A-CLASS RANGE

Mercedes has introduced two new versions of its A-Class. The A 250 Sedan and A 250 4MATIC (all-wheel drive) Sedan fit into the company’s sedan line-up between the A 180 Sedan and the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan. As is often the way with the sedans they provide extra luggage capacity, an extra 420 litres back there, an increase of 50 litres over the corresponding hatchbacks.
