Details of the next-generation Lexus NX medium luxury SUV that will go on sale in November, 2021 have been announced. The NX 450h+ PHEV (not confirmed for Australia at this stage) has a thermally-efficient 2.5-litre petrol engine, front and rear motors, and a lithium-ion battery pack with 18.1 kWh power output. Lexus has upgraded the RC sports coupe with changes to powertrain, suspension and safety equipment. It has new adaptive control software for the eight-speed Sports Direct Shift automatic with is standard on both the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol RC 300 and 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 RC 350. It offers maximum power of 150kW and torque of 300Nm, incorporating a high-output motor and high-capacity lithium-ion battery that can deliver a 400km driving range in certain driving conditions.
