TAKE TWO FOR LEXUS LUXURY PEOPLE MOVER

Lexus is chasing hire car operators with the launch of the new upmarket LM hybrid- powered people mover. The second-generation LM (short for luxury mover) has been unveiled at the 2023 Shanghai motor show. Sharing a platform with the Toyota Camry, Kluger and RAV4, as well as three current Lexus models, it looks much like a Tarago behind the Lexus spindle grille. Lexus has revealed its first fully electric, dedicated battery electric model the RZ 450e. Due here next year, the RZ is a clean-sheet design that sits on the e-TNGA platform that is shared with the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra. It’s designed specifically for EVs, providing space for the batteries and motor to be placed low to the ground for optimal weight distribution and a low centre of gravity. The Lexus UX 200 Luxury, is now incorporating the latest Lexus multimedia system onto a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen display, replacing the previous 10.3-inch interface.
