2020 FORD TRANSIT: MAJOR UPGRADES

Ford_Transit_frontFord Transit has been extensively upgraded for 2020, with refreshed styling, infotainment and advanced driver assist technology.

The exterior has been given a surprisingly stylish upgrade, with a more prominent three-bar grille, new headlamps and front bumper.

Inside, Transit has a new dash that includes updated instruments and new control panels as well as a full-colour SYNC 3 touchscreen. Replacing the previous 6.5-inch display, the new screen is a prominent, easy to read 8.0-inch colour unit.

The Transit vans feature a standard full-colour reversing camera as well as front and rear parking sensors.

Transit drivers can also keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road by using SYNC 3’s voice-activated features, including optional voice-activated sat-nav as well as standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility.

The next-gen Ford Transit includes a suite of comprehensive Driver Assist Technology (DAT). AEB with Pedestrian Detection, which was previously optional, is now standard, joining the Ford Transit Custom and Ford Ranger which also offer AEB as standard on every model and body-type. Other standard DAT equipment across the Transit line-up includes:

Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Rear-Cross Traffic Alert (not available on Cab-Chassis)

All Australian Ford Transits are powered by a 125kW/390Nm EcoBlue engine.
